Dear CSA and Friends of Shalom Orchard,

We are into BLUEBERRIES!! This is the most intense time of the year as we are raking and winnowing blueberries daily as well as trying to keep up with the gardens. This is hot and hard work, but this wonderful staff are keeping their spirits up and doing a wonderful job! This is the time to order blueberries for the freezer. Let us know how many pounds you want us to put aside for you. You can use your shares or add on, or both. It is important to let us know early, as it looks like a short season and we don’t want you to miss out by getting your order in late.

Unfortunately, we are out of chicken! Due to difficultly ordering more chicks, there will be a gap before we have more. This will be another item to order for the fall. We will have lamb soon, and always, eggs.

Unless they grew overnight, the beans aren’t ready this week, but will be ready for next week.
