It’s that time again!! 2009 CSA!!

Hello CSA and Friends of Shalom Orchard,
I am busily planning the gardens and ordering seed!!  On a day like today, with yet more snow falling, it is warming to think of veggies and flowers!  It is time to sign up for this year’s CSA, if you haven’t already sent in your payment.  Again, we want to thank all of you who were able to send in your payments early so that we were able to participate in the Fedco discounts!!! It helps us keep our prices down, which benefits our shareholders.

We would like to get all payments in by 3/15.  Just like last year, choose your level of share/week and multiply by 14 – the number of weeks in our season.  Our address is:
Shalom Orchard
P.O. Box 4
Franklin, Maine 04634
565-2312

If you have any questions, fire away!  Please let us know if you are not joining again this year or if you want to arrange payments, etc.  We just need to get a firm count!

Think Spring!

Thank you,
Charlotte

Our annual appeal – thank you!!

Dear CSA and Friends of Shalom Orchard,
We want to thank all of you who sent in your share payments early so we could take advantage of the huge savings at Fedco by ordering with the Hancock County Organic Growers.  This order will go in this coming weekend, so there is still time to send in your share payment if you had intended to do and haven’t yet!!

For those who will be sending in your payments for this season, please send them in by March 15.  Please let us know if you are not going to be with us again this year.

“If every U.S. citizen ate just one meal a week (any meal) composed of local and organically raised meats and produce, we would reduce our country’s oil consumption by over 1.1 million barrels of oil every week.”   Animal, Vegetable, Miracle, by Barbara Kingsolver.  So think what you are doing for the environment!!  Tell your friends!!!

We’re starting to get excited about Spring coming and the 2009 season!!

Thank you,
Charlotte
