Dear CSA and Friends of Shalom Orchard,

Happy Labor Day to you all! What beautiful days and nights we are having! We deserve it.

We have some tomatoes this week and we are grateful for each one! Fresh blueberries are off the list and we will let you know when you come out for pickups when we have your frozen berries ready. We are still raking. We have garlic for you this week. I hope to have pesto ready for you for next week!

VERY IMPORTANT!!!!! Save the date of 10/10 at 5:00 PM to come to our Harvest Dinner! This is for all CSA members and Friends of the farm. We would like each of you to make a veggie dish, appetizer or dessert using our fruits and veggies if possible. We will make the breads, main dishes, wines and other surprises. Please bring your recipes on a card and we will start a cookbook! We’ve always talked of doing that. We will need firm RSVPs so that we can plan. We will skip CSA pickup on 10/7 so that we can concentrate on cooking that week and the last pickup will be on 10/14. So there are four more pickups after today! With this strange summer, it just doesn’t seem possible.

Harmony Mill Farm Products:

We have other processed products and yarn for sale. Our CSA members, the Muise family, have put some of their own maple syrup in our store for sale.

Any of our farm products can count toward your share. Harmony Mill Farm products and Muise’s Maple are purchased separately.

Of course, our wines are always available, but can’t count toward your share, as wines cannot be prepaid. Jim has some new selections available this season!!
