CSA pickup for Wednesday, 8/11/ 2010

Dear CSA and Friends of Shalom Orchard,

I am sorry to have missed the pickup last Wednesday; I was in the MDI Hospital ER having IV antibiotics for yet another infection in my leg! I went back on Thursday for another round, but Friday I went to the Wound Clinic at St. Joe’s and I think we are on the right track now.

I hope you met my grandkids, Kamaria and Caelan. Their Mom, Kendall, is here now until Wednesday, so we are enjoying some time together.

So here goes for this week:

From Harmony Mill Dairy: John Pierce will drop off orders for Wed. pickup. We do this just as a convenience. If you don’t know Harmony Mill Dairy, it is a small dairy in Waltham. The milk is unpasteurized and comes in returnable 1/2 gal. bottles. John Edwards carries this milk as well as other natural food stores. These products do not count as part of your share, they are paid for separately.

Dear CSA and Friends of Shalom Orchard,

Here it is, the end of July and time for blueberries again!! They are a bit early this year, as is most everything. This is the time to place your bulk orders for frozen blueberries. We will be raking and freezing berries and they will be available for pickup in early September. It is good to get your orders in now as we never know how many berries we will end up with.
